3. GOING TO LINCOLN PARK ZOO
The grounds of Lincoln Park Zoo are truly special, and free to visit as well. You can check out the animals, try out one of the adults-only events once each month, or both.
4. EATING A CHICAGO DOG
There are a lot of different hot dog styles out there, but as a resident of Chicago, you know the best is still the Chicago-style. The poppy seed bun, bright green relish, tomatoes, the snap of the hot dog – there really is nothing else like it. And it’s cheap.
5. TRYING A TAMALE
If you are someone who likes to enjoy the Chicago nightlife, you should be on the lookout for the Tamale Guy before you make your way home. Carrying a classic red cooler full of hot, spicy, delicious tamales, he is worth visiting.
6. STANDING OUTSIDE WRIGLEY DURING A GAME
The roar of the crowd is spectacular. Of course, you can always go in and check out a game. But just hearing the crowd is a special experience.
